Walking Animatronic T-Rex Dinosaur, 6m Life Size for Theme Parks and Exhibitions
This walking animatronic T-Rex is a life size dinosaur model for operators who need a moving, sound enabled attraction rather than a static statue. The animal measures 6m in length and 2.4-2.5m in height and weighs 220kg, so it holds a convincing scale next to visitors, park gates and stage sets.
Structure and skin. The body is carried by a carbon steel mechanical structure, and the legs use a customized non-standard mechanical design that supports the walking motion. Brush motors installed inside the body drive the movement. A 2-3mm composite silicone rubber skin is applied over 95% rebound high density sponge, which keeps the surface soft to the touch and reproduces muscle and hide texture. Acrylic eyeballs and a jaw that opens and closes with built in dinosaur sound complete the head.
Eight motion functions. Mouth open and close with dinosaur sound, eyes blinking, neck up and down, head left and right, forelegs moving, body up and down, tail swaying, and walking. All functions are operated from one handheld controller, so a single staff member can run the sequence during a show, parade or photo session.
Work Flow
1. Mechanical Frame: Weld the steel frame as per the posture of the design.After welding completes,paint anti-rust on the frame.
2. Modelling: Cover the frame with high-density foam after the movements test.
3. Carving: Professional carving masters have more than 10 years of experience.
They create the perfect dinosaur body proportions base on scientific data and the design
4. Painting: Painting master can paint dinosaurs according to customer's requirement.
5. Final Testing: Each dinosaur will also be continuous operated testing one day before shipping.
6. Packing & Shipping: Bubble bags protect the dinosaurs from any damage ,.
PP film fix the bubble bags. Each dinosaur will be packed carefully and with particular focus on protecting the eyes and mouth.
7. On-site Installation: We also send engineers to customer's place to install dinosaurs.
